Hi,

We work on different projects, And we use different tools. Over the years I've found that Excel and Word are the most essential tools that have ever been used at almost all stages of a project life-cycle. I use them for time-tracking, effort-estimations and requirements-management, but all of them have specific templates that make them stand apart.

What templates have you used in your daily development life-cycle ?

Can you share them here ?

I'm specifically looking for good Excel/Word templates for SCRUM.

I haven't used these, but there is a list of several backlog templates for Excel on this page.

And there appear to be video tutorials for creating/using Excel backlog templates on this page.

We don't use any.

All our burndown/up charts are pieces of flipchart paper pinned or stuck to the team wall, with the chart drawn in marker. This way everyone can see it, not just the team or those who have access to the information radiators. We have users/customers come by and see what's going on, ask us about it etc..

As for the backlog, the index cards are pinned on the wall as well, the main backlog first, then the sprint backlog next, then the kanban board, burnup/down charts and aything else.. this gives us a project flow that is visible to the whole organisation.
