Was reading the pragmatic programmer again, and as I was going over the Tracer Bullets chapter I was wondering ifa tracer bullet is the same or not as a vertical slice (in games). At first thought they seem to be the same but when considering things again it seemed to me that they are actually totally different . A tracer bullet is something that implements a single feature from end to end , however a verticle slice (although verticle in theory) is more like broad strokes over all posible features, not very verticle at all. Anyaays I don't know if devs in other fields even use the term verticle slice, but assuming you do, whats the view on these two techniques, are they the same or not?
