Open Source Education?

Question

Does anyone know of an article, I think in an Interior Design magazine or Wired, from August, that talked about the writer taking various classes online via open source education? The class was filmed and it lets you and I attend classrooms like MIT and other higher level schools. I went to a three tiered college ;)

There are a variety of open-source learning tools to help educators create online courses, or support brick-and-mortar classes with online learning, at little to no cost. These online learning tools run the gamut from fully developed online classroom programs to programs that help facilitate certain aspects of learning, such as fostering community collaboration.
