what software you use to organize your code and note?

hi guys, i want to know you guys using what software to organize code and notes in your everyday life. i've trid wiki software, microsft onenote and plain text file. but none satisfied me. so i'm curious about what you guys use to manage this stuff. great thanks.

In everyday life? (I'm thinking outside the realm of work...)

1. My head (three item limit, please)
2. The back of whatever piece of paper that happens to be within an arm's reach.

At work, though, I've found OneNote to be well suited to collaborative notekeeping, esepcially for to-do lists that have to be completed within a few days.

As far as organizing code, I've found the Windows filesystem on my hard drive to be well suited for that, as in:

C:\My Projects\client-name\project-name
