Hello,

I have been thinking about the correct approach to face our clients and talk about a Business Intelligence project.

I would like to receive your opinion about how to make that approach. Do you have some advices, papers or case studies I should follow?

Thanks in advance,

Ricardo :)

The best thing with clients is to show them something working. If you're talking about adding BI to their existing application, show them a report that you achieved easily with the technology, something that would grab their attention. If they can see immediate value, they'll be hooked.

Clients are interessted by the high value that BI can add to the organisation, thus, I think you should identify what's the most important value for your client, and then try to show him how BI can help him.

You can also show reports and pretty dashboards that can also help.

Finally, BI is more and more a trending topic in the organisations, if you could describe BI as "fashionable" and as a widely adopted approach particulary by big companies, I'm sure you're client would be attrated (especially if he is a pointy haired boss :)
