Hi,
we are sending jobs using PBS to an external cluster and we get sometimes errors. For us this is hard to debug because we can not easily contact the administrator and so on. I thought about the possibility of some kind of Virtual Machine but which is a "Virtual Server" with PBS installed there, so I can play all games and test my jobs and modify things from the root account without hurting too much. I wonder if such thing exists.
Of course one approach would be:
1) Get a Linux virtual machine and install PBS as a server there 2) Get another Linux virtual machine and install PBS as client there 3) "Copy" the Machine craeted in 2) for instance 10 times
Now it should be possible to test it, although I am not sure about the possibility of this approach and the hardware requirements for such machine.
