The question about says it all! I'm aware of the different flavours of RoR Beast, but I'm wondering if there is a PHP rewrite/port out there anywhere to be had.

Well, I didn't find any PHP port of Beast arround, but it's not really hard to it. Beast is very Basic, you need to find a nice MVC PHP Framework and you can code it within a day.
With the play framework there is a sample forum project that is quite similar to Beast, but it's a java Framework.

Thanks for that mnml - will have a look at "play", though Java is a drawback for me. Meanwhile, I have turned up this example: http://bit.ly/8MtwLm So there is one out there!

Well yes, but look It's running on Codeigniter, another good mvc framework. Try get the source by asking the guy who did the port :D
