CommonAppDataRegistry question VB

Question

hi

i think this is my last question in 2009, and i wish a happy new year to all users.

When i use CommonAppDataRegistry in visual basic 2010, it sets value under my app's version in the registry. for example

My App
    --->
        1.5.0.0
           ----> 
                  My value is here

is there a way to change this? i just want to set value just under the name of App.

and other thing is can i use any other function to save settings other than CommonAppDataRegistry ?
