Hello, buddies!

I'm currently studying WebLogic's integration capabilities, to develop a system that ensures high performance, availability and scalability; fail-over and crash recovery and 24/7 availability on a WebLogic integration scenario.

I've been exploring some concepts and evaluating potential solutions to the problem I want to solve. I'm currently studying cloud computing and potential benefits to the system I want to implement.

After some reading about Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), I'm not really sure if it is possible to dynamically aggregate/de-aggregate a cloud hosted instance to a local cluster, to face peak load or local instance failure. Is it possible to do this aggregation dynamically? Where can I find documentation about this matter? I'm not really digging in on the details of potential implementations and stuff like that, so for now I'm currently receptive to any solutions I may encounter.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Cheers!
