I need to build/integrate a system that can support email interactions with users with a customizable workflow including attaching documents, digital signatures etc.
Think about a "mortgage refinancing" workflow, where each customer has about 12 steps that are needed to complete the refinance, I need a tracking system where I can track interactions with customers, customer reps can track their status in the workflow and send reminders of outstanding items.
Ruby would be ideal, Java would be fine, open to other languages as well, but those would be ideal given the teams talents.
Am I better off building something from scratch or is there something kind of close out there that I could customize?
