I am looking for an installer application (hopefully cross-platform, but only Windows would also be useful) that has the option to add a bookmark in at least the default browser for the user, bonus if it can do all installed browsers.
Does such an installer exist at all?
The reason for this request is that I have a bookmarklet for my web app, but many of the users apparently find it too complicated/cumbersome to drag the javascript: link to their links bar. So, I'm thinking that it might be useful to let them download a tiny platform installer that would update their browser settings to add this bookmark, avoid all IE security warnings etc.
Any help greatly appreciated - 2 hours of googling has not revealed anything promising. Thanks in advance.
