Practical tutorials for OOP development and embedded javascript in asp.net

I have been reading and practicing C# / ASP.Net 2008 for the past 6 weeks. But I still dont have the confidence to hit the ground running on a job. Are there any tutorial websites that show practical object oriented programming that I can use to work with in order to gain confidence? The second part of my question is that embedding javascript and vbscript in aspx page is quite different than what used to be the classic asp pages. Where can I learn how to write javascript in aspx pages?
