Toolstripcontainer in a base form when inherited is not visible - best approach to inherit?

in .net, I have a Toolstripcontainer in a base form When I inherited this base form, the inherited form not allow to modify the toolstripcontainer and a themed toolstrip on it is not visible Anyone have a good approach to inherit it or reuse it without to put it in any form?
