Prevent jquery ui tabs from automatically loading content into the page

Question

Any idea on how i can prevent jquery ui tabs from loading the content inside the page through ajax, and just use the tabs for external links? I've tried http://docs.jquery.com/UI/API/1.7.1/Tabs#...follow_a_tab.27s_URL_instead_of_loading_its_content_via_ajax

but does not work, the content is still being loaded...
