Can you recommend me some good silverlight books? Thanks.

Don't buy any. Right now Silverlight 4.0 comes out - make sure you get a matching book. Stay away from anything older unless you have to - by the time you are comfortabl and a larger project is finished, Sivlerlgiht 4 is out and well distributed.

Hook over to http://www.silverlight.net/ and try to work with the material there for the moment.

http://www.silverlight.net/learn/books/ has some good links on decent books. Like always the Dummy series has a decent starter.

Apress generally write good clean books and I found this one to be very useful. The examples where good and the book felt easy to read.

Of course a lot will depend on what version of Silverlight you going to use, as well as how advanced you are at programming in Silverlight. Some books are good for beginners, and more will be target for intermediate/advanced programmers

Dont forget you can use the likes of Amazon for user reviews/ratings, which will give you a better idea on the quality of book you might want to buy

I think buying books for learning programming is unnecessary since there is lots of sources and forums on the net.

I would always go to MSDN library for Microsoft Related Technologies.

  1. Silverlight
  2. MSDN Library - Silverlight
