I have WSS 3, AD is setup with users, those users are added to the WSS 3 site, I can login with any of the AD users, but if they have a permission level lower than "system administrator" they can't access a folder or item in that folder. How do I get lower permissions to replicate?

SharePoint Permissions are seperate to AD permissions - you will need to set permissions on the SharePoint site/list to give access to an AD (or SharePoint) group that the users do belong to.

So if AD doesn't have anything to do with SharePoint Permissions and I've given SharePoint Permissions to every user from View Items to Lvl1, but anyone that has less than System Administrator Permissions doesn't have access to any folder. I did a repair of WSS 3 with no change. I've removed and re-added users. I've removed and re-added folders. Removed and re-added permissions all to no avail. This is all after migrating from WSS 2 on another server to a new server with WSS 3. Everything is there except the permissions don't work less than System Administrator. Any ideas?
