Hi,

Is there out there any open source ORB api, something like JAVA's RMI or .NET's Remoting?

There are several, including the Mico CORBA implementation, which is not too hard to get working. See also this page for other free CORBA resources. Having said that, CORBA is probably the most horrible technology I have ever used - I'd think long and hard before starting a project based on it.

Highly recommend OmniORB.

A while back (y2000) I built a fairly large complex system and at that time I tried VisiBroker and a few other ORBs and OmniORB was the best of the bunch (for what I required).
