What is the difference between these 2 doctype option on W3C HTML Validator page

What options should i select in both

if i want to check validity against

XHTML 1.0 Strict

and

XHTML 1.1

there is no option for XHTML 1.1 under "Validate HTML Fragment" option. Why?

XHTML 1.1 is -identical- to XHTML 1.0 in syntax except some minor changes to the name attribute on `<a>` and `<map>` tags, as well as lang attribute being removed. If you use name on `<a>/<map>` or the lang attribute on anything below `<html>` then you need to worry about differences, otherwise you're fine.
