Hello to everybody
I have a rather unusual question but it would be great if there is an answer. I work in a company that uses a rather old custom application (Access 2003 but is from Access 97 at least) it is starting to show its age.
So personally i think its about to transfer it to .NET with all the pros and cons. The problem is this application is big and i mean really big ...the forms alone alone with the queries and the reports its way bigger than 100MB and the splitted tables play around 1 GB .And when i say forms-reports i mean just black and white nothing fancy and the VBA Code is just a LOT.
So its has being some time to try to Map this application by writing down ...what this function does..in this module...etc but the Excel i use really can't handle this load..when i Search something i go to 25% i use the search and i scroll a lot.
Nevertheless i had this idea...i see many diagrams from programs like Visio or EDraw and i wish i could such a diagram rather than busting my eyes over Excel but i need to be interactive i mean at the very least to click over a block and reveal the code under (i would like to have more but lets find the first we are talking)
