what kind of online editors are available for editing excel kind of tabular data

We would like to provide a mechanism for the user to enter data in a excel sheet kind of an interface, so that users can create it online. What kind of solutions are available to acheive this? Would it be possible to use spreadsheets.google.com as an embedded widget so that users can manipulate the doc. Are there any other options available?

EDIT: The use case is as follows, a user responsible for creating a question would like to do so based on a tabular data and hence would like to have a mechanism to add / modify inputs through an embeddable editor capable of manipulating spreadsheet data.
