Hi, I'm trying to use WebClient to call a url and get the response. My problem is that this code hangs when calling the wc.UploadValues method.
Dim wc As New System.Net.WebClient
Dim myValues As New NameValueCollection()
myValues.Add("Parameter", "Value")
Dim responseArray As Byte() = wc.UploadValues("https://opensms.movistar.es/aplicacionpost/loginEnvio.jsp", "POST", myValues)
Things I tried:
· If I don't add any parameter (remove myValues.Add line) then it does NOT hang.
· If I query any HTTP (not https) URL, then it does not hang, even if I add some parameter to myValues.
· This happens with any https url I tried.
· I also tried setting wc.Encoding, with no result.
· I created an html form to do the post and submit the form, and it does work.
So my guess is that the problem is in the combination of https+post parameters.
I'm using vs2008 and framework 2.0.
