There are tools that monitor what keyboard shortcuts you just pressed and display them on screen. That is very handy during presentations or screencasts. To see an example, have a look at these Mac OS Quick Tip videos or this video (hardly visible black box in the right bottom corner of the screen).

Question

What tools are there for Windows 7?

So far, I have only found Keyboard Jedi from Roy Osherove, but it's not working on my Windows 7 64bit. After starting it, it says: "Keyboard Jedi has stopped working."

Tool list

Here is a list of tools I found during my Google search:

I can provide more updated versions of this tool upon request, just send an email to me at [email protected]. Also, if there are any questions or suggestions, I'd be happy to help. At the moment there should be no known bugs, and it should work fine in both 32- and 64-bit Windows Vista/7 as well as XP.

@Lasse V. Karlsen: I just unzipped it and am playing around with it. I haven't managed to make it work with Resharper shortcuts Alt+Insert, Alt+Enter and Windows shortcuts Win+ArrowUp even though the key files are selected. The Key Helper Window shows "Alt+ [DEVENV]", I would have expected "Alt+ENTER [DEVENV]". I'll check whether it's a UserTooStupidError or indeed a bug and let you know. Thank you for your kind offer to help!

It is probably a bug, I'll look at it when I get home tonight. If you want, I can prepare a new copy of the software later tonight (it's 11:42 here, lunch-time and I'm at home at about 5ish and onwards.) If you send any bugs to [email protected] I can even track them in my bug-tracking database :)

I can verify that Alt+Enter is a bug, shows exactly what you said. I'll look into it. If you're not turned off from the program already, please send an email to [email protected] and I'll get back to you with a new version when I have it later tonight.

@Lasse V. Karlsen: Thanks for the verification. I just sent an email. No hurry at all, take your time.
