Hey everyone,

I am looking for a collaborative map mind software that can be used by a development team. The basic requirement is, obviously, to be able to work together from different location on the same document - We can use Dropbox to sync or it could be an online service.

Also, since we intend to use it both for documentation, issues and tracking, it would be nice if it had powerful filtering/export capabilities.

Software I've checked so far:

  • Freemind - Quite nice, despite lacking a polish, it lacks, however, any collaborative options.
  • Mindmanager - Loved the interface, but it is quite expensive and if the initial price wasn't enough, to collaborate, I need to pay additional 9$ per month.
  • Mindomo - So far liked that one the most. But I'll be happy to hear if there is anything else out there.
  • Mindmeister - Collaboration works only for premium accounts, but the whole set of features looks worse than Mindomo and the price is higher. It DOES seem to be more popular, for some reason.

I haven't personally used this one so can't comment on its suitability but it's probably worth a look.

Interesting. However, I found it worse than Mindomo and more expensive. Thanks for the suggestion, however. I'll put it in the list at the top.

Just had a quick look at Mindomo - it looks good.. and cheap. I suspect it will be difficult to beat :)
