Are there any stats that tells about the percentage of projects done using Agile.. and further breaking down to XP, Scrum etc

A:

Nobody knows because noone on those alleged projects bothered to document it.

I don't know of any surveys, but they're run into a problem that I've called "cargo cult agile". They adopt a couple of "agile" techniques, and call it agile while working it back around to something like a normal waterfall.

Let's see, I googled "software development project survey agile"

And one of the first hits was http://www.versionone.com/agilesurveyresults.asp

Then, http://www.methodsandtools.com/dynpoll/oldpoll.php?Agile2

Then, http://agilesoftwaredevelopment.com/blog/martinig/third-annual-state-agile-survey-da

So, I guess there probably 145,000 results of the exact type you've requested.

I guess the question didn't actually *include* reliable.

"reliable" + "survey" = "oxymoron"

I am looking for some reliable stats.. if you look on monster I hardly find any job posting mentioning agile or XP or scrum.. I am guess most of the people who thinks that they are using agile are in fact using RUP or waterfall...

@StackUnderflow: You're looking for reliable stats -- I gave you three studies packed full of stats. Sadly, I can't help you with hiring managers who fail to put the magic word "Agile" in their monster job listings.

Its 40.3%. And did you know that 84.3% of all statistics are made up on the spot? Fun aside, a quick google for "survey agile" gives you all information you will need.
