Semi-related, but I saw Intel has a game development competition in the works and you can see the game concepts people are proposing: http://software.intel.com/en-us/contests/levelup2009/contests.php
Apparently they are just collecting concepts and then they pick a bunch to ultimately become real games. They got Sid Meier and Will Wright to be judges, which is pretty good I suppose.
