Does anybody know if there is an official or estimated release date for the ASP.NET MVC framework? I'm starting on a project that I hope to have completed by mid March and it would be a perfect candidate for the platform, but I don't want to release it under a framework that isn't completed.

Originally it was supposed to RTW by the end of 2008. That was delayed without explanation. Mix is March 18-20. I would guess that's a pretty likely time for it to RTW. According to Phil Haack's twittering, a release candidate will be out soon.

Also of note, the MVC Beta shipped with a 'Go Live' license with limited support for running in production. Along with RC1, you should be pretty safe deploying in that timeframe, and expect minimal changes to upgrade to the full MVC.
