I just saw that IE8 is now open for live download. I was just wondering if anyone has done any testing on it (in RC1) and how it went?

Thanks! JFV

In one case, the left navigational bar (a unordered list with anchors in each list item) on a site had an odd bug in it. Every one of the list items was linking to what the very last list item linked to. Never was able to get to the bottom to it; I just blamed it on the beta.

I've tested it on a few of my sites and it's now behaving more like Firefox/Webkit than IE7 per-say.

However, if you bump into trouble where pages would work with IE7 and seem "garbled" with IE8, theres' a meta tag you can use to force that page to use compatibility mode rendering which you can read about here.

Yes I installed IE8 this morning and everything seems to work well.

The only issue I had was that internal pages on our domain were no longer in the 'Intranet zone' and were showing in the 'Internet zone'. All we had to do was manually add the local pages to the correct zone and everything was OK.
