I am curious to know what people consider the best conference to go to for each realm of development languages.

For instance, in the .NET world, there is DevConnections and Alt.NET. The DevConnections conferences are pretty good, but I learn so much more from Alt.NET and Continuous Improvement conferences.

RailsConf was fantastic for me. There were a few duds as far the workshops went but most were good and it was especially great meeting people in the community.

Based on what I've researched, No Fluff Just Stuff seems to be a very good conference for the Java world.

I've always considered the PDC (Professional Developers Conference) a necessity for .NET developers. It doesn't happen every year, but when they have one, it's always worth attending.

Best Oracle Performance Tuning conference is HOTSOS, in March and in Dallas.

Glad to hear it -- I'll be going this year for the first time

Shucks, for the first time, I'm probably not. Would have been nice to meet another SO'er.
