Hello all. We have developed an online inventory program using .net technology (Asp.net with C#). Inventory also comprise of images. Now what we do is bring data collection form to the site and record data onto the form and key in the data into the online program back in the office. We take photos using digital camera. We transfer these pictures into the folder in the pc. In the inventory program we import required images by clicking button such as Browse..., select the image and then write into the database. It becomes confusing when there are 100s of images as we dont remember which image belong to which product. Client has asked us to go for real time data collection. We are looking into purchasing Motorola MC75 or MC55 model for data collection and image capture. In the program we have created external folders for the storage of digital images (on pda sim card).

My query : I want to take a picture by clicking a button in the inventory program (developed using Windows Mobile 6) form and straightway save into the specified folder (which is in pda sim). Thus I don't use the hardware button (that takes photo) of the pda device. Since we can activate external scanner by using Adobe Photoshop's import command, we should be able to take picture using pda from the program and save in the specified folder. Your help is appreciated. with regards Rajesh MG
