Dynamically Resizing Gridview using JQuery not working in IE6

Question

jQuery("#divID").width();

When I resize the div using the mouse it works fine in other browsers but not IE6.

For some reason the width doesn't update unless I refresh the page.

Anyone experience this problem with IE6?

Any solutions out there?
