We are looking to improve our QA process. Can we rely only on Eclipse plugins or should we consider other "external" tools? I would be interested in QA tools for Java / Grails using Eclipse IDE.

I would start by looking at something like JGear.

Are you looking for code analysis, a utility for code reviews, or something else? There aren't any general QA plugins, to my knowledge.

Hey. It depends on what is in your QA process. One tool may be not sufficient. As for eclipse I haven't heard of any usefull tools other than Rational QualityManager+TestLab+FunctionalTester+Robot+PerformanceTester. But they all are proprietary software based on eclipse not eclipse plugins, so they are expensive. But this set is very close to cover QA process, and it is based on eclipse. Try this site
