How can i get categories list of amazon shopping in xml ?

I want to get categories/departments list of amazon shopping in xml.

I am using amazon web services,but now i am able to serarch any item through REST.But how to get departments or categories list which is available in their site in dropdown list.This output should be in xml

you have to wonder, why not ask this question on an amazon web services specific forum? 2 layers of indirection does not make for great efficiencies.
