adobe audition scripting

Hi,

We Adobe Audition at work. We use to cut various sound bytes. An example might be talk a long audio of a voice actor reciting the alphabet and digits 1 - 100. Every alpabet character and digit must be cut to a new audio file. Now Audtion does have a scripting side to it, but I am not too familiar with the scripting aspect of it.

Does anyone know how to cut audio so that the script automatically creates the soundbites based on a pause.
