wpf /xaml designer

I'm looking for a good WPF/XAML designer to do some contract work, but I don't know where to find one. Where's the best place to find good XAML designers for hire?

I'm not sure whether this kind of questions is appropriate here or not. However, personally, I used to use LinkedIn to contact with professionals in any profession, join a group about WPF/XAML or whatever to connect with WPF pros. For example, I'm the creator of a Silverlight group which and it has new jobs postings everyday.

Another suggestion, which will cost you $350, is to post your job at Stack Overflow jobs section.

There are a couple of different skills that have to come together to be a good XAML designer; an eye for aesthetics and some technical skills. These can be tough to get in one person.

First, decide which skill you think is more important (even if slightly so).

If the answer is a visual designer who can make pretty pages, go here: http://www.allgraphicdesign.com/freelancegraphicdesignjobs/ http://99designs.com/ http://www.getafreelancer.com/

But if the answer is that you need the technical skills, go to: http://jobs.c-sharpcorner.com/, http://www.guru.com, or http://www.rentacoder.com

Specify that you want both skillset regardless of the one you deem most important. You're just more likely to find the right teammate if you lean toward one skill or the other.

You are going about it the right way by asking for a contract worker. You'll get great responses if you allow them to work remotely rather than coming in. Let them work weekends and evenings if they want.

Best to you on your search!
