How to implement login mechanism in Alfresco Surf application

Hi all,

i am playing around with alfresco WCM and want to implement a simple login mechanism in my surf application, so that I can show some information about the actual existing Alfresco user.

Can anyone give me a hint?

I already walked through http://www.benh.co.uk/alfresco/surf-part-1-getting-started/ but now I get stucked.
