I'm brazilian and I'm developping a management software for internal use in the company I'm working on. I'd like to know a common english term to describe an imployee's internal company registry number. I've been thinking in "registry number" or something like that. ID is not suitable because the DB table already has an ID field. Can anyone help me? Thanks very much.

Just because your database has a field called ID doesn't mean you can't use that word in your system. What about EmployeeID? How about Employee PIN?

PIN usally implies a non-unique secret number, used as a password.

I'll check the best option. Although I believe employeeId is suitable. Thanks for your answer.

Thank you. I'll check if any of these are suitable. I think EmployeeID fits.
