Non-English IMAP folder names and Outlook

I am using Courier IMAP server for an application which lets access to the mailbox through various clients. I have a problem when someone is using Outlook/Outlook Express, and creates or reads a mailbox folder with non-english characters. I have a web based application, which does a proper encoding of these folder names using UTF-7 as described in RFC 2060, Section 5.1.3.

It works perfectly with Thunderbird, but looks like Outlook fails miserably to encode the characters when creating IMAP folders and in decoding names encoded with UTF-7. Anybody experienced the same, and any suggestions to get it working?
