How could i re-create this site i want to code it out from scratch. It's for a university project i'm going to take the object tracking concept further but i need to know how the site is built in the first place.

I have not checked it but this is probably implemented in Action Script on Adobe Flash Player. It's the most user friendly way to get such multimedia capabilities.
