MS Access database shows ??? when I enter Cyrillic characters

Hi everyone,

I have an Access database, and when I write Cyrillic characters in any table, the characters are saved like ??? symbols. How is this possible?

This occurs if I have system-locale set on western code page, and if I switch to Russian locale, it works correctly. I don't understand why it doesn't works with western locals? This occurs only on this specific database, on other databases I can work normally with Cyrillic characters.

How can I force MS Access to use Russian code page when I enter data?
