Currently I have an Associates degree in computers. I also have about 10 years experience (which comes to about 6-8 once companies "convert" an AAS into a BS). I'm thinking on going back for my Bachelor's Degree. Locally I have a pretty good school that offers both general studies (or business) degrees, and also a pretty good IT department.

My question is this: With an AAS in IT, should I look to get a BS in IT, or a BS/BA in Business/Management/Other related fields? Since I have 10 years paid experience in coding and DBA, will I learn much that I don't already know from the School of Hard Knocks?

If it matters, the school I'm talking about is George Mason University.

All things being equal - go for the business degree. Having business expertise as well as technical know-how opens all kinds of doors in your career that would otherwise be closed.
