I've looked into ASP certification and I've seen a lot of 3 days classes for $1500 or so. I don't really feel like I can learn a lot in 3 days. Do you know of a good program for ASP / SQL Server certification that lasts for a semester (I'm in Minneapolis)?

I've never seen anything that lasts that long. If you want to learn at a more leisurely pace, I would recommend getting the training books. If you aren't much of a book learner, maybe you could find other people you work with that are interested in getting certified and discuss a chapter a week.

If you are already actively developing in asp.net, then chances are, you already know quite a bit, and part of any .Net certification is general knowledge of .NET and the Base Class Library, which you probably have a good understanding of just by using it. If you don't have experience with Asp.Net, then the certification training will give you a good breadth of knowledge, but the depth you want will come from creating and maintaining real live sites.

I'm in a 3 day MS training class right now (not for asp). You're right the pace is fast (at times) and they only show you the wizard style way of doing things and not so much on best practices, etc. I don't think I've learned any more than having a good book or blog, and a good mentor I can bug with questions.

I have had fun on SO today after all the labs and through the breaks though :-)
