This not related to code, but the editor itself. It didnt seem to fit on super-user so I am trying it here.
I have Visual Studio 2008 running on Win 7. I usually undock all my windows for maximum real-estate on screen and I have noticed an annoying behaviour which I cant track down.
If I have the project explorer window set to "swing-out" and I hover over it it slides out as expected but as soon as I click on a file, folder, etc it immediately looses focus and swings back in. I know previously in VS-2005 as long as the mouse was in the hit area for the window it would remain open.
This has the side affect of causing any macros I run (which change the active file) to cause the project explorer window to pop-out and then collapse over and over again while the files are being opened.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? I cant find anything on google, or not the right search terms anyways.
