Place a Dojox Chart Legend into Multiple Columns

Hi,

Can anyone reccomend a good way to place a dojox chart legend into columns?

I would like the results to be something like this:

item 1 item 4 item 7 item 2 item 5 item 8 item 3 item 6 item 9

I have many records (>20) and this would be a much better way to display the related legend from the pie chart. It appears the items are put in to is it possible to reorder them?
