this happened quite randomly. I didn't delete any tableview cell, the backtrace information:

Assertion failed: (d->entry[identifier.glyph] == g), function evict_glyph_entry_from_strike, file Fonts/CGFontCache.c, line 810.
Program received signal:  “SIGABRT”.

Looks to me like there is a bug in the drawing of text on UINavigationItems.

Some of those API calls seem really deep in the frameworks, and are things that you shouldn't even have access to, so I don't believe it's directly your fault.

Perhaps it would be wise to file a bug report with Apple regarding the iPhone SDK and drawing text to UINavigationItems and include this backtrace.

Jasarien
thanks, I'll submit this to apple
Ross
did you hear anything back ? I'm getting a similar issue.
Andiih
No, I didn't get any helpful feedback there. but I have a feeling that this happens more on simulator. didn't get any crashlog on devices that has the above trackback info

I have the same problem on simulator, almost making my simulator crashes every second... function evict_glyph_entry_from_strike, file Fonts/CGFontCache.c

This happens all over the iPhone as well, even in 3.1.3.. I'm getting it even with a simple [nsString drawAtPoint] call.

I am unable to reproduce this bug on Simulator 3.1.3
