Making a Win assembly SxS certificate/key combo:

I'm trying to follow...

...but nothing I am able to do so far can get me things labelled “mycert.cer” or “mycert.pvk”. Instead I get things without extensions automatically labelled something like "921A81C5FAE54DCB9DE2245194E1B5EAA0B7B31F" and "3F6D25A7E7373FF5E7BF0FC1933E7929637F0C0D". Heck those pseudonames aren't even identical (and lack extensions--the OS just calls them out as 'System File').

I'd sort of like to be able to know I can generate a cert file named something like “mycert.cer” and a key file named something like “mycert.pvk” but no luck so far.
