Try Learning Flash CS4 :)

It's easy to digest, it covers the IDE, tools and actionscript as well. You will feel pretty confortable after that.

Great to get started. What are you more interested in ? design ? code ?

For useful professional tips & tricks on using the tools ( Pen Tool, Bone Tool, etc.) I would recommend Chris Georgenes's How To Cheat Flash CS4.
