It's not a blog but Microsoft's The Architecture Journal is an excellent read.

The new issue is about Digital Identity and access control. Previous highlights have been the web arch issue and the "The Role of an Architect" issue.

It's free in both PDF and dead-tree formats.

It's not necessarily MS-centric either - although many of the contributors are MS employees the topics are not focused on MS platforms.
