I'm working on an installer that installs a suite of applications, among them being a web server. I'm having a problem where, in Windows Server 2003, in addition to the web site getting installed under DefaultWebSite, it is also appearing as an extra site below DefaultWebSite. Also, two Default Application items are being created under the DefaultAppPool.

This does not happen in other versions of Windows, such as XP or Vista, and it never happened when our web server was installed using the old installers that we're replacing, which used VB scripts and batch files to install and remove the web site.

What do I have to do to make sure, in Windows Server 2003, that the web site is installed only under DefaultWebSite and only one Default Application item under DefaultAppPool as with other versions of Windows. (We're developing the new installer using Wise Windows Installation Studio 7.0.) I'd hate to take all of the web setup out of the MSI and go back to using the scripts for setting things up.
