Here's the way I used to create CloudBlobClient instance:

CloudStorageAccount account =
           CloudStorageAccount.FromConfigurationSetting("DataConnectionString");
CloudBlobClient blobClient = account.CreateCloudBlobClient();

It looks like CreateCloudBlobClient is gone in Windows Azure Tools for Microsoft Visual Studio 1.1 that was released this month (February 2010).

To work around I'm using following code:

CloudStorageAccount account =
      CloudStorageAccount.FromConfigurationSetting("DataConnectionString");
var blobClient =
      new CloudBlobClient(account.BlobEndpoint.ToString(), account.Credentials);

Can someone confirm that both snippets of code are equivalent?

You still can find CreateCloudBlobClient method in MS documentation but if you use Reflector on Microsoft.WindowsAzure.StorageClient.dll you will not find it.
