Help with a `marquee` type effect with jQuery

I need to implement a marquee type effect.

I don't want to use the marquee element - non standard and deprecated and all that.

I have access to jQuery for this site.

I've seen a few plugins, but no reviews of any.

Have you used a marquee jQuery plugin before? What are your recommendations?

I wasn't going to originally go with this one, because the demo implied you had to use the marquee element as a base. But that isn't true.

But I just tried it, and it works beautifully.
